Flatbread Recipe

You do not have to be expert in banking, its enough to follow my guidance for a maximum taste, amazing flatbread with no yeast 🙂



  • 3 cups / 300 g all purpose flour +  Additional 1 cup extra for dusting & adjusting dough.
  • 2 cups of boiling water
  • 2 spoons of olive oil
  • 1 -2 spoons Cumin seeds
  • Salt for taste



Mix the flour with cumin seeds and salt.

Add 2 cups of boiling water gradually until the mixture holds together and will roll into a ball while barely sticky. If it becomes too sticky, just add a bit more flour.

Add 2 spoons of olive oil to the dough and mix gently until the dough is elastic and holds itself together. Leave it rest in warm place for 20 minutes.

Dust bench top with flour, cut dough into equal pieces, roll into balls, then roll out into a round very thin layer .

Heat a non stick pan over medium heat and Place one flatbread in the pan, cook for around 1 to 2 minutes ,once it bubble up, flip and cook the other side until small golden brown spots on both sides.

Place the cooked bread in a flat place and cover it with moisture towel which helps to soften the surface of the bread.

After 20 minutes , it is ready to eat .
