Protein cheese buns with fig

Protein cheese buns with fig

Who doesn't like cheese cake? I do. I looooove cheese cake. An I'm absolutely in love with this recipe. They look like buns but they are made almost only from cheese. A perfect snack after a workout or a healthy snack for a future mum with lots of calcium and proteins:-)

  • 500g of cream cheese
  • 2 eggs
  • 30g of coconut flour
  • 60g of rice flour
  • 50 g of whey (I used whey from Pure Rein as it can be used by future mums)
  • 50g of sweetener (I used honey)
  • a tiny bit of lemon essence or juice from 1/2 lime
  • 3 figs
  • handful of coconut  flakes (I used from Pure Rein)
  • anything else you want for the topping:-)

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C (356 F). Mix all ingredients (except the topping;-) well. Cover baking tray with baking parchment. Form with wet hands  buns (the batter will be a bit sticky so wet your hands well before forming each bun). Cover with the topping of your choice. Place in the oven for about 30min. Et voila! Buns are ready:-)

Bon Appetit
